Jhannel Tomlinson is a scholar-activist committed to climate change adaptation, youth empowerment, gender equality, and community engagement. As the Co-Founder of GirlsCARE Jamaica and Young People for Action on ClimateChange, she empowers young people to actively participate in climate action. She is a 50-Next Trailblazing Activist, who received the Prime Minister’s Youth Award in 2019 for her achievements in youth empowerment and climate advocacy and currently serves as the Caribbean Advisor for the Next Generation Climate Board and is a member of the Global Fund for Women’s Feminist MLA Committee.
