Ms. Anis Farid (Research Project Manager at Women’s Aid Organisation, Malaysia anis@wao.org.my) oversees the implementation of the Endemicity, Care, and Gender: Towards Developing Resilience in Malaysia’s Essential Care Workforce and Infrastructure (RE:CARE) Project, which investigates the impact of the pandemic on essential care workers across healthcare, social care, and domestic care sectors and their ability to perform their paid and unpaid care work.

Anis’ takes a feminist approach in her work, focusing on the intersection of gender and culture and how these impact and shape policies. Anis has a background in social policy (LSE, MSc International Social and Public Policy) and psychology (McGill University, BA Psychology).
