Lasarusa (Kirah) Seru works on Health and Wellbeing for the Rainbow Pride Foundation and identifies as a Transgender Woman. She hails from the beautiful Island of Kadavu and also shares maternal links to Kadavu. She is a devoted Christian and attends Sunday church service where she also takes part in directing their church choir as a way of sensitising her fellow youth church members to the idea that God loves everyone irrespective of their sexuality gender and expression, and has contributed a lot to her church, changing mindsets and making the congregation accepts her for who she is.
