Teresa is the Deputy Executive Director and Head of programmes at the Forum of African women Educationalists (FAWE), a pan african organisation with 33 chapters in Africa, with the mission of promoting education rights for girls in Africa. A lawyer by profession, she has more than 18 years of professional experience with various International Non-Governmental Organizations in the area of governance and human rights with specific bias on women and children rights. She has made significant contribution to the reproductive rights of girls and women in Kenya and continues to spearhead this advocacy on re-entry policy for girls in Africa.
