As a senior program specialist with the sustainable inclusive economies program at Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Flaubert oversees a portfolio of 15 research projects worth approximately 15 million $CA dealing with women’s and youth economic empowerment in the transition to net zero economies in the global South. Prior to joining IDRC in 2011 Flaubert taught at Cornell University and Drew University in the U.S., as well as the University of Québec in Montreal. Flaubert holds a PhD in economics and has a tracked record of publications in peer reviewed journals.
