Béniel has nine years of involvement in youth associations on issues of sexual and reproductive health and rights. He also completed a professional experience at the Center for Research in Human Reproduction and Demography (CERRHUD) where he focused on interventions to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality. He served for 15 months as a United Nations volunteer in a prison facility in Benin before joining the OPCU team. Béniel is very excited to contribute to the implementation of the youth strategy and to the achievement of the new Ouagadougou Partnership goal as a Youth Lead.

During the event, we will endeavour to demonstrate the value of collective action learning; leveraging our ongoing action learning group topics as real-life case studies. We will also share key learnings from our previous action learning cycle on gender and inclusion, and measurement of youth partnership; and consequently, share new resources that stakeholders in the filed can benefit from. In turn, we are confident that we will inspire thought and action, geared towards addressing SRHR challenges, no doubt bringing us one step closer to achieving gender equality. The event will also serve as an opportunity to raise visibility of, and spotlight engagement in the upcoming Global Forum for Adolescents (October 2023) and the 1.8 Billion Young People for Change Campaign.
