Thorsten Kiefer is the CEO of WASH United. He has almost 20 years of experience working on human rights and WASH, including more than 10 years working on menstrual health and hygiene (MHH). In his role, Thorsten oversees WASH United’s MHH-related collaborations with key partners and funders, including particularly businesses. Thorsten leads WASH United’s engagement with multinationals as well as partnerships with start-ups and other for-profit actors across the global North and South, giving him an in-depth understanding of the different actors in the markets for menstrual products in the global North and in Africa.
