Magdalene Dorto is a Bachelor of Arts student at the University of Ghana and a youth activist with the Youth Action Movement, with the Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG). Magdalene has been involved in SRHR programs in Ghana and around Africa over the past five years. She is the National Treasurer of PPAG’s youth wing and represents young people’s interests on the organization’s Governing Council. Magdalene also represents Ghana at the Think Tank of the Global Youth Connect of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). She is also the Ghanaian representative on the Communications Team of YAM at IPPF-AR.

The youth leaders will share their lived experiences and challenges faced while advocating for one or more of the contested issues of SRHR, namely: access to safe and legal abortion, comprehensive contraceptive care and comprehensive sexuality education.
