Melanie Turner is Director of American Heart Association’s International Health Science Programs. She works with sister cardiovascular societies and global partners to develop collaborative professional education, scientific meetings, quality improvement initiatives and research opportunities.
Over her 20 year career with AHA, she has managed AHA’s population health and epidemiology portfolio producing statements and guidelines around cardiovascular disease risk prevention, data standards and performance measures.
Ms. Turner has interests in global cardiovascular health and risk prevention in women and underserved populations. She has published several papers related to heart disease and stroke statistics, strategies for community and population cardiovascular health.
