Jonathan Gbede, 23, lives in Equateur province, Democratic Republic of the Congo. He graduated from the University of Mbandaka with a law degree in 2022 and has been engaged in social justice movements for the past six years. Jonathan supports the Oxfam “Power to Choose” project by writing blog articles to help inform his community with evidence-based information on sexual and reproductive health and rights. He is also a member of a youth movement that promotes gender equality. In this NGO, he leads awareness-raising campaigns to help women know their rights and fight against all forms of gender-based discrimination.
