Sarah Imran is a researcher, writer, artist, and Political Science Ph.D. candidate. Her research interests include gender justice, transnational feminist movement building, and women-led community organizing.
She has worked on advocacy and lobbying campaigns to establish legislation related to violence against women in Pakistan and in the US, and has spearheaded programs geared towards skills training and economic independence of the survivors of gender-based violence.
Sarah’s art is grounded in gender, racial, and social justice (www.sarahzimran.com). She is part of the organizing team of the annual Aurat March (Women’s March) in Pakistan and is a current Women Deliver Young Leader.
