Groupe Tawhida Ben Cheikh

Senior professional in public health; served in various positions in United Nations organisations, UNFPA and UNAIDS, in New York, Geneva, Yemen, Tanzania and China. She contributed to the development of national strategies in reproductive and sexual health within global agendas. Dr Belhadj is holder of a Doctorate in Medicine and a Master’s degree in Public Health from Columbia University; former Post-doctoral fellow at the Population Council, New York, she published peer-reviewed papers on health policies and sexual and reproductive rights. Since 2017, she is President of Groupe Tawhida Ben Cheikh, for Research and Action in Women’s Health, Tunisia.
