Hyshyama is the Campaign Manager of the Global Campaign for Equality in Family Law. She has over 15 years of experience working on women’s rights, primarily in the Global South, with expertise in advocacy campaigns and movement-building on family law reform. Hyshyama is also an activist in her home country Sri Lanka where she co-founded MPLRAG, an advocacy group at the forefront of pushing for reform of the Muslim family law and family court system. As a Fulbright scholar and Sié Fellow, she obtained her MA in International Human Rights at Josef Korbel School of International Studies, University of Denver.
