Zuhra Wardak, is the Deputy Director for Ethics, Compliance and Gender in IRC Afghanistan, and also leads the Gender in Humanitarian Action Working Group.
A strong women and girls rights advocate, she represents Afghan women on multiple platforms to enhance gender equality. A recipient of the 2022 InterAction Humanitarian Award, Zuhra’s humanitarian work during the ongoing crisis helped a large network of Afghan women.
Since 2017, Zuhra Wardak leads the Women@Work network to empower women staff in the country program. In 2020, she was voted as the W@W Asia representative for the IRC GEDI Council.
