Elizabeth A. Coté M.D., M.P.A., the Vice President of Global Medical Education at Operation Smile leads the organization’s core strategy to sustainably scale global access to high-quality cleft and essential pediatric surgery by investing in the education of low- and middle-income country surgical teams. She directs Operation Smile’s Women in Medicine initiative to increase the number and standing of women in the global healthcare workforce through mentorship, scholarship, research, and advocacy. She graduated from Harvard Medical School and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and has led health system strengthening programs at the White House, the OECD, and several countries.
