Dr. Ilaria Bottigliero (Director of Research and Learning, International Development Law Organization – IDLO) is an international civil servant, academic and expert practitioner with over 25 years’ experience in international law, justice and human rights. At IDLO, she leads knowledge generation and the gender, climate justice and customary and informal justice portfolios. Dr. Bottigliero published extensively, lectured and conducted research in over 25 countries on human rights, IHL and gender issues. She is the author of “Redress for Victims of Crimes under International Law”, and the recipient of the 2022 CISDL Peace, Justice and Governance International Legal Specialist Award.
