Khadijah Abdul-Samed is a communication practitioner with ten years’ experience in broadcasting, advocacy, and research. She is the Communication & Gender Officer at the Savannah Women Integrated Development Agency (SWIDA), an organisation working to empower communities and individuals in Northern Ghana through socio-economic opportunities. Khadijah spearheads the KASA! Initiative at SWIDA, where she has supported victims of sexual violence to pursue justice and trained young people in educational institutions as advocates on ending sexual violence. Khadijah also runs an annual Female Leadership Mentorship Academy with six tertiary institutions in Ghana and 45 female mentors across Ghana, the US and the UK.
