The session will spotlight girls’ political power from the local community level to global multilateral processes such as Generation Equality. This will be an interactive session with funders, decision-makers, civil society, girls and young feminists to hold powerful, provocative conversations grounded in feminist principles. The session objectives are as follows:
– Lift up girls’ political power and the importance of resourcing girls’ resistance
– Spotlight examples of girl- and young feminist-led activism, campaigning and political participation from the local to global level and resourcing girls’ political power
– Hold political conversations between activists, funders and decision-makers on how and why to shift resources to girl- and youth-led groups
– Ground the session in a shared understanding of collective care
