Dilly Severin is a dynamic leader and strategic communications and advocacy expert with more than 15 years of experience in the fields of international development, sexual and reproductive health and rights and gender equality. Before coming to UAP, she served as Senior Director of Advocacy and Communications for Data2X, a civil society organization working to improve the use of gender data to drive gender equality and the Sustainable Development Goals. As Senior Director for Global Initiatives at FP2020, Dilly oversaw the Global Initiatives team and managed the Reference Group.

The Fund advances emerging approaches to decolonized philanthropy, by providing flexible funding to women’s funds, women-led organizations, and feminist leaders — trusting these groups’ local knowledge and expertise. This event will share the Fund’s learning after two years of operationalizing trust-based giving that shifts decision-making power, builds connections with feminist organizations, and advances system change and real-time, non-extractive learning.
