Dr. Melania Chiponda is a Researcher, Educator and expert in Gender, Development, Energy and Climate Change. Dr. Chiponda has more than 26 years of working in the development sector in government, academia and NGOs at national, regional and international levels.
As a Researcher, her approach is embedded in participatory action-oriented methodologies that bring out women, indigenous groups and marginalised communities’ experiences, stories and struggles to contribute towards their emancipation and liberation. She holds a Ph.D. Candidate in Development Studies, a Master of Science in Development Studies, and several graduate and post-graduate qualifications in Social Sciences and Management.
