Billion Girls CoLab, IDEO

Larrissa Muthoni transitioned from 14 years in advertising and media into insight- driven demand generation strategy for Triggerise, leading design research to address issues on uptake and re-use of DMPA-SC. She currently works on strategy, design and implementation of multi-year programs at IDEO.org, including the Billion Girls CoLab. She led the design and implementation of programs and developed curriculum that nurtures growth of young women and creating intentional structures for them to hold real power in design processes. The CoLab model has helped guide the evolution of design thinking implementation in Africa, and community engagement principles for the sector.
