With a B.A in Journalism and an M.A in Pacific Media Studies, she has over 13 years of experience working in gender development and communications in Fiji and the Pacific. Shazia has dedicated her career to supporting efforts that promote gender equality through strategic communications that amplify the voices and choices of women, girls and gender non-binary people._x000D_

She is an Asia Foundation 2023 Development Fellow, and currently works as a Communications and Media Specialist for UN Women’s Fiji Multi-Country Offices’ Ending Violence Against Women’s Girls programme.
