Amrita has over 22 years’ experience of working within the human rights/women’s rights sector in India and United Kingdom. Amrita has worked managed projects aiding/supporting women across different socio-economic, religious and cultural backgrounds. Besides managing and delivering VAW project, Amrita has experience around advocacy, lobbying, advising (government and non-government) agencies around VAW policies, funding opportunities, needs assessment and training. She is currently the Director of Swayam, India a feminist organisation working to end gender inequality and VAW since 1995. Amrita is part of a team working in Asia to create a network of organisations working on gender equality. _x000D_
