Alejandra (Ale) Teleguario is a feminist activist from Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. She is an English and pre-school teacher, a researcher on gender and local development, and a International Relations student at Universidad Rafael Landívar. She’s a counselor and facilitator on Comprehensive Sexuality Education. She started her activism at 13 as Mayor of Children and Adolescents of Quetzaltenango. Ale is President of the NGO Jóvenes Artistas por la Justicia Social (JAxJS ONG) [Young Artists for Social Justice], co-founder of BeRadFem Xela, Ambassador of Fundación Oxlajuj N’oj, and a volunteer for GOJoven Guatemala. She’s developing different community actions with allied groups to raise awareness about the importance of the SRHR of vulnerable populations.
