Born/raised in Ethiopia, lives in New Jersey with husband/two boys. Alfa is Chief Executive Officer/Co-Founder of Rising Tide Capital, a non-profit organization providing business management training, coaching and mentorship to more than 3,000 underserved entrepreneurs, 70% women of color, since 2005. Funders underwrite cost of tuition/services. Co-Founder, Future Tide Partners, which equips cross-sector leaders towards inclusive, flourishing future economy. A World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, recognized by President Barack Obama, received 25th Heinz Award/Technology, CNN Hero, one of Most Powerful Women Changing World in Forbes, Commissioner on NJ Future Work Task & board member of NJ Pandemic Relief Fund.
