Tamar Dekanosidze

Tamar Dekanosidze is a Georgian human rights lawyer and Eurasia Regional Representative at Equality Now. With a focus on combating violence and discrimination against women and girls in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia, she brings over a decade of experience in human rights litigation, advocacy, research and teaching. Dekanosidze has represented survivors of human rights abuses and successfully handled cases at national and international levels, including the European Court of Human Rights. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Law and an LLM in International Human Rights Law, she is currently pursuing a Ph.D.
