Anisie is a youth activist who advocates for empowerment, inclusivity and better access to services for persons with disabilities. She has had roles with organisations focused on people with disabilities such as Umuryango Nyarwanda w’Abagore Bafite Ubumuga (UNABU – the Rwandan Organization of Women with Disability) and UWEZO, an initiative that aims to improve competencies in literacy and numeracy among children. As well as working with Purposeful, she is a gender and disability facilitator at VSO Rwanda, working to prevent gender-based violence among girls and women with disabilities.
