Conflicts, the climate crisis, hunger & health crises and the ways these overlap impact girls most severely. Using a Nhanga-inspired approach – sitting on the floor and removing shoes at the door to create a sacred space that dismantles power structures – we will foster honest discussions about ways crises impact girls’ rights and the role education plays to safeguard those rights.
Through intergenerational dialogues, young activists will spotlight four threats girls face during crises:
– Child, Early and Forced “Marriage”
– Early and unintended pregnancy
– Gender based violence and exploitation
– Food insecurity
