I am a young feminist from Colombia, who strongly believes that women´s experiences and capacities are the way for social transformation. Seven years ago, I became involved with non-governmental entities. At first, I volunteered as a young counselor in sexual and reproductive rights and health. From then on, I specialized in prevention of and response to gender-based violence, specifically against girls, adolescents, migrant women, women victims of armed conflict and indigenous women. I am currently working in training, advocacy and research with women who are victims of gender-based violence and gender-based violence in armed conflict.

This new resource articulates Women Deliver’s approach to youth engagement, which centers marginalized youth advocates as designers, experts, and leaders, alongside traditional decision-makers and powerholders, in all gender equality and health advocacy spaces, convenings, and formal mechanisms. This approach to youth engagement is essential to addressing the world’s most pressing issues. The event will highlight key messages from the publication, followed by a panel discussion between the publication’s co-authors and high-level decision-makers on their work to advance equitable youth engagement and co-leadership.
