Asenath is the Chief Executive Officer of Orchid Project, a British charity working globally to end female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C). Based in Nairobi, Kenya, Asenath provides the overall leadership and strategic substantive thinking and direction of the organization globally. She strengthens Orchid Project’s programmes, partnerships, advocacy, research, and movement building in the Global South whilst continuing to build on Orchid’s global commitment to the rights of women and girls and a world free from female genital mutilation or cutting (FGM/C).
As a seasoned global leader in the international development field, she believes that gender equality is attainable.
