Dr. Ir. Elie Antoine Padonou holds PhD on natural resources management. He is expert on land degradation and restoration, land use and land cover change analysis, forest management and conservation, climate change adaptation using solar energy in West Africa (Benin). He is the coordinator of the project ‘Solar energy and bio-technologies for women entrepreneurs in the mangroves of Ramsar Site 1017 in Benin (SEWomen)’ granted by the International Development Research Center, based in Ottawa (CRDI No. 109625-001) from 2021-2023. He is affiliated to the African Academy of Sciences (AAS) and the African-German Network of Excellence in Science (AGNES).
