Leila is a global feminist strategist with 30 years of movement and advocacy experience advancing women’s human rights and social and reproductive justice. She serves as Senior International Fellow at the Asfari Institute for Civil Society and Citizenship at the American University of Beirut, as Senior Strategist for the Urgent Action Fund-Africa and Trust Africa on Reimagining Feminist and Pan-African Philanthropies and as a consultant analyzing new funding flows for Prospera the International Network of Women’s Funds. She serves on the Association for Women’s Human Rights in Development’s board and the Accountability Council of the Numun’s Feminist Technology Fund.
