Vilda is a Kenyan woman with a physical disability. She is volunteering at Cheshire Disability Services Kenya as youth and feminist advocate for SRHR of young people. Being a survivor of gender-based violence and living with a disability herself, she has witnessed the many challenges that people with disabilities face, in particular the gaps in accessing SRH information and services. Prevention of GBV is one of Vilda’s focus areas, and she is speaking up for all young people with disabilities in Kenya and beyond via social media and through her involvement as global youth advocate in the Make Way program.
