Founder and Technical Advisor
Irene Dawa is a founder of Community Empowerment for Peace and Development West Nile (CEPADWN) in Uganda (www.cepadwestnile.org). She has a PhD in management science specialising in gender and peacebuilding from Durban, South Africa, an MA in International Relations from the catholic university of the sacred heart of Milan, Italy, and an MA in Peace and conflict studies from the European Peace University, Austria. Irene has in the last ten years worked on widening the civic space, participation and representation of women and youth in Uganda and Africa at large.
