Kunthea Chan brings many years of experience as a feminist popular educator and regional lead in methodology, design, and strategy. In her work, she uses an intersectional approach to support women’s leadership and organizing strategies in trade unions and garment workers, LBT groups, indigenous and rural women, and young feminists. Her journey as an activist began in 2008. Inspired by this defining moment, along with one of her colleagues, Kunthea founded the Cambodia Young Women Empowerment Network (CYWEN), a group aimed at strengthening the capacity of young women to demand their rights.
