Therese Mahon is WaterAid’s Regional Programme Manager for South Asia and global lead on menstrual health and hygiene (MHH). She supports the implementation of programming to generate practice-based knowledge on MHH, global advocacy, and capacity development initiatives. Therese has focused on initiatives to integrate MHH across sectors, strengthen monitoring of MHH and develop inclusive MHH approaches including an intervention for girls with intellectual impairments in Nepal. Therese also helped establish the Global Menstrual Collective (GMC) and has co-authored a definition of menstrual health. She is a member of the global technical advisory group strengthening national and global monitoring of MHH.
