George William Barigye is a Regional Technical Advisor for Anglophone countries with the Access Collaborative project at PATH. With over 15 years of public health experience, George has worked across reproductive, maternal, child, and adolescent health programs to strengthen health service delivery. In his current role, George coordinates closely with ministries of health and in-country partners to introduce and scale the self-injectable contraceptive subcutaneous DMPA (DMPA-SC) in the context of a full range of family planning options. George played a significant role as Uganda became the first country in sub-Saharan Africa to introduce DMPA-SC self-injection outside of a research setting.
