Leymah is a 2011 Nobel Peace Laureate and a Liberian Peace Activist, trained Social Worker and Women’s Rights Advocate. She also serves as the Executive Director of the Gender, Law, and Transformative Peace Initiative of the City of New York, is a Member of the Sustainable Development Goals, Aurora Prize Selection Committee and the Hilton Humanitarian Prize Jury. She serves on various boards across the world, holds a M.A. in Conflict Transformation and a Doctor of Laws honoris causa from various universities across the world.
